Camping with a vision

In the 1970s, the Happacher family established a modest campsite for summer visitors. In the 1980s, the Berghof Patzenfeld was built as the centerpiece of the facility, with a special focus on quality and harmony between nature and people. In 2015, the business entered its third generation under Andreas Happacher and the campsite became the first in South Tyrol to offer glamping.

Comprehensive solutions from goingsoft

In the past, the Happacher family entrusted our team at goingsoft with managing the internet for the Caravan Park Sexten. In 2019, we embarked on the next project: equipping the entire site, including the rooms in the chalets, treehouses and lodges, with comprehensive, fast and secure WiFi coverage.

Implementing network solutions for campsites or chalet villages presents unique challenges beyond just the size of the area. Several factors must be considered during the planning and installation of WiFi, including terrain elevation changes, dense vegetation, wooden walls and thick steel-reinforced concrete walls, all of which can affect WiFi quality.

The wooden chalets and treehouses are each equipped with a coaxial modem via TV cabling to ensure optimal WiFi reception without the need for additional wiring in the rooms. For the hosts, it is crucial to maintain oversight and control of the guest network at all times. This is effortlessly achieved with the appropriate software, netcontrol, developed by our experts.
