Relaxed conferencing at Hotel Deutscher Hof

The Hotel Deutscher Hof in Kassel has been relying on the expertise and broad range of services provided by Telekom Deutschland for many years when it comes to digitalization. Additionally, in terms of networking, the hotel has found a reliable partner in the Telekom subsidiary, goingsoft.

As a hotel catering to business travelers, a high-performance WLAN network throughout the building has been particularly important for many years. To ensure sufficient coverage, COAX modems from goingsoft were installed in the existing building in 2019. The advantage of COAX technology is that it utilizes the existing TV cabling, eliminating the need for any structural modifications. This allows for networking to be set up even during ongoing operations without disturbance to the guests. Bandwidth and access for the rooms as well as the conference areas can be easily controlled and monitored through the netcontrol 365 management software, accessible through the reception. Since the implementation by goingsoft, guests have been very satisfied with the WLAN network, much to the delight of the managing director, Mr. Schade.

Previously, Hotel Deutscher Hof had 52 rooms and 2 conference rooms. Now, the family-run business is expanding with an additional 24 rooms and 6 conference rooms. A comprehensive Wi-Fi network via CAT cabling from goingsoft will also be implemented in the new areas.

Additionally, the new rooms will be equipped with goingsoft's hotel TV sets, specifically designed to meet the needs of the hospitality industry. Modern HD televisions with user-friendly interfaces will provide entertainment for guests.

If needed, HOTAINMENT solutions can be added later, allowing for features such as a digital guest directory on the TV sets and/or for mobile devices.
